A Halloween map has been created in Malmesbury.

Councillor Julie Exton and Malmesbury resident Ben Thornbury have created a trail across the town for people to enjoy this weekend.

Window displays, Halloween posters and carved pumpkins can all be enjoyed from a safe distance.

The pair have also created a Christmas lights trail for later in the year.

Cllr Exton said: "The Halloween map is just like the Christmas trail - it offers a socially distanced way for the community to come together.

"It's for the little ones but I'm sure many older people will also enjoy it."

She added: "We've given a lot of thought on how to ensure it is safe."

Organisers have reminded people to:

1) Keep to the rule of six and remember wash your hands, cover your face and make space.

2) Maintain physical distance from people you don’t live with. Remember to stay two metres apart.

3) If you have COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 you must self-isolate.
