AROUND 500 daffodils are to be planted in Semington on Saturday October 24 to brighten up the village next spring.
The village will turn out at 10am to plant the bulbs in time for flowering next March.
Organiser Peter Smith has appealed for residents old and young to help with the planting.
He said: "We have about 500 new bulbs to plant around the village and some of us are meeting up this coming Saturday morning to do what we can.
"Semington’s lovely daffs cheer us up each spring. But there are plenty of verges and banks where we can add to the display."We need all the help we can get, so please come along and join in."
To help, meet at the St George’s Road/ High Street junction. If you have a bulb planting gadget, great, but if not, a trowel will do.
