Children at Corsham Regis Primary School have made colourful outdoor art displays to mark their return to school following the coronavirus pandemic. Each child in the school contributed to the rainbow, made up from an array of coloured tags, which now greets children and parents as they arrive at school. Fabric flags adorn the playground of Key Stage 2 children, and a Tibetan-style pergola has also been created using hanging discs. Meanwhile, Key Stage 1 children decorated their playground with fabric butterflies. The project forms part of the school’s ‘Wellbeing Topic’ which the children are learning this term.
Mrs Duffield, art co-ordinator at the school, said: "The children enjoyed working collaboratively on the art projects and loved expressing their thoughts and feelings on their return to school. Much of their art work was inspired by our wonderful NHS".
One child added: "it looks brilliant and even though we can't see our friends in the other classes, it feels like we are working together".
