Giffords Circus is coming back to Chippenham and Marlborough next year.

It has been awarded a grant as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

The funding awarded will help enable Giffords Circus produce its 2021 show The Hooley, the show that was due to tour England during 2020, but was put on hold when lockdown was introduced.

It will perform at Bowood House & Gardens on Thursday 15 to Monday 26 Apr 2021 and Marlborough Common from Friday September 3 to Monday September 6 2021.

Lil Rice, producer of Giffords Circus said:

“We would like to thank the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund and Arts Council England for recognising Giffords Circus and Circus as an art form and awarding us this grant. 2020 has been the most challenging year for Giffords Circus and this award gives us the ability to plan for our 2021 show The Hooley with greater financial security.”
