The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Wiltshire increased by 65 over the weekend, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 1,913 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 4pm Sunday, October 11 in Wiltshire, up from 1,866 on Friday, October 9.

The rate of infection in Wiltshire now stands at 383 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 873.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 28,037 over the period, to 603,716.

Wiltshire's cases were among the 22,123 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 889 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
