Two residents at a Chippenham home have celebrated a couple of very special birthdays - with one of them getting an unexpected surprise in the form of the local fire brigade.
Ivy Llewellen celebrated her 100th birthday with tea and socially distanced cake with some of her family.
Jane Allen was enjoying her 106th birthday when a fire broke out in one of the flats at Leonora Home.
"The fire brigade was called and we had to evacuate," said a staff member. "There was a small fire but we sang hymns to keep everyone happy. It was an exciting and emotional day!"
Part of Pilgrims' Friend Society, Leonora Home is a Christian home.
Business Manager Jackie Bridgen says "We always like to make a fuss about birthdays. There's always a splendid cake from the catering team, and bunting and a special tea. It's difficult with the Covid restrictions, but the Leonora family can still enjoy a fabulous day, especially for these landmark birthdays!"
