CHIPPENHAM'S Barnardo’s charity shop has to limit the days on which it can receive donations.
The store in Lodge Road, Pewsham, has seen a significant increase in donations since reopening post lockdown.
Donors are being urged to try to only bring their pre-loved items on Mondays and Thursdays to stem the flow.
Barnardo’s store associate Eliz Fory said: “We’re sincerely grateful to everyone for their support during these difficult times, and we’ve done our very best to accept donations throughout the week.
“However, the quarantine rules mean we have very limited space in which to store the bags which are coming in every day, and the physical distancing rules mean we have a smaller team available to go through everything.
“We sometimes receive a hundred bags of donations in a single day so we’re trying to manage the volume so that we’re not overwhelmed."
The Barnardo’s store is open Monday-Saturday from 10am-4pm.
