DOZENS of households in Colerne have signed up to take part in a bumper yard sale.

And organisers think that number will increase as the date set for the event nears.

"We now have 78 households taking part and I seem to get messaged every day!" said organiser Nicky Ackland-Snow.

"We also have the village cafe serving homemade cakes and the Colerne C of E Primary School have allowed us to use their car park for parking.

"There will be maps of households selling at the cafe in Vicarage Lane and also in the school car park."

The map has red dots showing where people have opened up their yards and garages, and it covers Colerne Village, North Colerne and the Thickwood Estate.

The event is a fund raiser for the Colerne C of E primary school and takes place on Sunday, August 16.

People buying and selling are urged to wear masks and carry hand sanitiser as well as having change and notes in different denominations to reduce Covid infection risks.
