Andy Cahill of The Motorhome Showroom answers our Q&A

Q: Why do you think our readers should support local business?

As a business we support the local suppliers within our area, this may not always be the cheapest option but we know that we get service that we can rely on time and time again, we can then pass this level of service onto our customers and ensure that they receive the highest standard of service and aftercare within the industry.

Q: What are enjoying most about being back open?

Times have changed so we are seeing a whole new range of customers, it’s great to see the new “First time” motorhome families who have that excited aura about them when they collect their new or pre-owned motorhome.

Q: What has been the toughest challenge for your business over the past 4-5 months?

The shutdown was terrible for all of us, we lost our busiest three months of the year which hit us hard, no sales, no opportunity to purchase new stock but thankfully we retained all our staff and we are now back up and running with all the covid-19 precautions in place.

Q: What are you most looking forward to in future?

The “staycation” looks like the holiday of choice for the foreseeable future, motorhomes and caravans are now seen as a great option to explore this great country we live in, the cards, photos and messages of thanks we receive from our customers new and old go to prove that we can all move on from these difficult times and enjoy our surroundings in the safety of our own holiday home on wheels!
