CALNE Music and Arts Festival is the latest arts event across Wiltshire to fall victim to coronavirus, after the committee reluctantly decided that, for the first time in 45 years, the Festival has had to be cancelled in its usual form.

"All performers who had been booked to appear in the Festival in October have been re-booked for 2021, when we hope to stage a really great and celebratory festival," said president Carol Browne.

" In lieu of the Festival we will be hosting a multi-platform social media Open Art Exhibition this year, in October, and we would love to see what people have been creating over the lockdown period.

"Anyone can follow and tag your work on Instagram @calnefestival and follow //cmafopen2020 to view the exhibition of work. All ages are welcome and multiple posts are encouraged. Please do not forget to seek permission if you feature people in your images."

Further information about how to participate in the exhibition, and Open Studios, will be available on our website from September at www.cmaf.org.uk
