CHIPPENHAM Museum reopens its doors from Monday this week.
Visitors can view new art exhibition ‘Spotlight On’, discover Chippenham’s history which introduces a newly-acquired collection of locally produced artwork spanning 100 years.
As part of a detailed plan to ensure safety, the museum is allowing time between visits for cleaning and will ask all to use hand sanitiser and wear a face covering on entry.
Councillor Teresa Hutton, Mayor of Chippenham, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our museum again and are delighted to have been awarded Visit England Good To Go status. This means our processes in place to maintain cleanliness and social distancing follow Government COVID-19 guidelines.”
Visitors can book free one hour time-slots from the website www.chippenham.gov.uk, during which their group of up to six people from up to two households or bubbles can have sole use of the museum’s two floors of galleries.
