DAYRIDER tickets from Swindon’s Bus Company will become two-for-one deals alongside the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The bus firm has made the decision to allow to passengers to travel with one dayrider ticket on Monday to Wednesday after 11am to coincide with the government plan.

Head of communications Nikki Honer said: “Swindon’s Bus Company fully supports the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme because we know how important it is to the local economy here.

“We can’t wait to see our high streets and hospitality industry start to bustle once more, so we are delighted to be joining in with this offer for our customers too.

“We are encouraging as many people as possible to pay by contactless, and this offer is available directly from our drivers.”

The scheme, which takes place throughout August between Monday and Wednesday, allows customers to dine out with 50 per cent off a meal up to £10.
