A 25-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a man who was stabbed to death and wounding a woman who is alleged to have got in the way during an incident in Hampshire.
Kevin Batchelor, of Camborne, Cornwall, appeared at Winchester Crown Court in connection with the death of 21-year-old George Allison who died at a property in Tichborne Grove, Havant, on May 23.
The defendant denied the murder of Mr Allison and entered a not guilty plea to wounding Chellby Ferrol with the intent of causing GBH to Mr Allison.
He also pleaded not guilty to wounding Ms Ferrol without intent.
Judge Keith Cutler set a date for the trial, expected to last two weeks, starting November 9 and remanded Batchelor in custody until then.
He told the defendant: “We are still on course for your trial on November 9.”
A 33-year-old woman, from Havant, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been questioned by police and released under investigation.
A 31-year-old man, from Hayling Island, remains under investigation for assisting an offender but will face no further action regarding the alleged murder.
