BARBER Jon Taylor has gone a cut above to make sure his customers are kept safe now that lockdown has lifted on hairdressers.

Mr Taylor, who is manager of The Barber Shop in Sidmouth Street, Devizes, said: "On this first day of being able to open I got in early to make sure everything was just right and I was amazed to see there was already a queue.

"We are taking all of the Covid-19 regulations very seriously and trying to make everything as safe as possible. We are trying to catch up with all the people who want a haircut."

Mr Taylor started work at the barbers shop in 2011 when the then owners Terry Miles and Clive Hazell appealed for a new recruit through the Gazette.
