THE following planning applications have been decided upon by Wiltshire Council recently.

Royal Wootton Basset: Mr Preedy of 64 Parsons way has been granted planning permission to build a single-storey extension at his property.

Steeple Ashton: Three trees are due to be felled after an application submitted by Dr Hillier of 6 Home Farm Close was met with no objections.

Steeple Ashton: Ms Reynolds has been granted planning permission to replace an existing conservatory with a single-storey rear extension at 4 Bartletts Mead.

Chippenham: Mr Pitt of Methuen Park, Chippenham has been granted planning permission to build a two-bedroom, Habinteg wheelchair compliant bungalow at Hungerdown Lane.

Langley Burrell: Repairs, refurbishments and an extension are due to be completed at The Old Brewery, 40 The Common, which is Grade II listed building following a successful planning application by Mr Payne of Flat 3 G/F, Cloud Nine 9, Plunkett’s Road, The Peak in Hong Kong.

Poulshot: Mr and Mrs Davis Barley of Hill House, 9 Barley Hill Lane submitted an application for a new dwelling on land adjoining their property. The application was approved.

Great Cheverell: A small agricultural building for livestock housing, feed and machinery storage will be built at Lower Green Farm 46 The Green after Mr Swift was granted planning permission.

Great Cheverell: Mr Keane of 28 Victoria Park has been granted planning permission to add an extension to a block of garages to create an additional garage.

Dilton Marsh: Planning permission has been granted to Mr Mutch of 15 High Street to build a new house on the side plot of land to the west of 15 High Street.

Aldbourne: A new vehicle access and parking for existing facilities on Palmer’s Field and Sports Field, with access to possible future sports pavilion and changing rooms will be built after Mrs Clay of Aldbourne Parish Council, 3 Skinners Close was granted planning permission for the project.

Sherston: An application by Mrs Power of 1 Holmefield, Sandpits Lane to build a single-storey rear extension with canopy has been approved.

Corsham: Mr Holt of Virginia Cottage at 10 Chapel Knapp, Gastard was granted approval to build a single-storey rear extension, detached car-port and new driveway at 89 Pickwick Road, Corsham.

Chapmanslade: Mr and Mrs Oliver of 4 Pedlars Grove have been given planning permission to build an extension and make alterations to their house dwelling.

Castle Coombe: An application by Mr Bettles to build a garage at Lower Colham Mill has been approved.

Winsley: Planning permission has been granted to Mr Barnes of 9 Millbourn Close to build a rear extension, install new dormer windows to the property’s rear elevation, as well as put in a new front porch.

Devizes: Planning permission has been refused to South West Developments of 16 Stockwell Road to demolish an existing bungalow and build a two to three-storey apartment building – accommodating nine flats – in its place at The Isis in London Road.

The plans were rejected due to ‘the bulk, massing, rearward projection and design of the building’. The officer also wrote in their report that the building would be ‘disproportionate within its plot, to the detriment of the street scene of London Road’.

Devizes: Mr J Wiffin of 37 Ferozeshah Road has been granted planning permission to build a single-storey rear extension.

Warminster: Mr Amos of 25 Prestbury Road has been granted planning permission to build a tiled roof porch over the existing front entrance, as well as building an extension/orangery to the rear of the house.

Hartham: Mr Jones was granted planning permission to build a new cattle building at Home Farm, 7 Hartham Lane.

Burbage: Planning permission has been granted to Mr Wheeler of Chruch Farm to demolish an existing garage in order to construct a two-storey side extension and first floor rear extension at Chattan, 18 Taskers Lane.
