A LARGE amount of rubbish has been fly-tipped at a recycling site in Carterton.

West Oxfordshire District Council officers are investigating at the site in Black Bourton Road.

Fly-tipping has been a persistent problem for the council during lockdown.

In April, fly-tippers were tracked down using an address on items they had dumped.

The following month, WODC warned residents to be careful when approached by individuals offering to dispose of their household waste.

There had been an increase in reports of people promising to get rid of waste cheaply however it can end up being dumped in the countryside or in supermarket car parks.

Regarding the latest incident, the council said that residents and businesses can be fined up to £400 if identified.
