AS criminals use different ways to move drugs across the UK to evade the attentions of the law, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) remain committed to cracking down on county lines gangs.
The force said there has been a rise in "alternative methods of disguise" in the transportation of drugs in the north west.
But GMP has not had reports that this has happened in the Greater Manchester region.
A GMP spokesman said: “As reported by the National Crime Agency, the north west region has seen an increase in alternative methods of disguise when transporting drugs from one area to another.
"At this moment in time GMP have not seen an influx of intelligence to suggest it is occurring within our force area.
"GMP work well with Merseyside Police to try and tackle county lines and any learning from them is always welcome.
"County lines is a force priority and GMP are determined to work with other police forces to confront those exploiting both vulnerable adults and children within the Greater Manchester area.”
