POLICE are clamping down on youths riding e-scooters in town centres and footpaths after complaints from worried pedestrians.

Calne Neighbourhood Police Team has taken action after they were told the electric scooters were being used in an anti-social way.

A spokesman said: “Calne PCSOs issued several warnings and advice was given to a number of riders that they should not be using them on the road or footpaths, as the scooters can only be used on private land. Anyone seen using one on the road or pavement risks having it seized.”
