MANCHESTER Road is set for two months of closures due to roadworks.

The A57 will be shut overnight for a period of 10 weeks, with resurfacing work beginning on Monday, July 20.

Closures will be in place around junction 21 of the M6 at Woolston, between Riversdale and Brook Lane, from 7pm to 5am.

Woolston Grange Avenue will also be closed at the same times between the junctions with Manchester Road and Chesford Grange.

The first phases of work will focus on the area to the west of the motorway roundabout and adjacent streets, before moving onto the eastern side.

Diversions will be in place via Winwick Road, Long Lane, Orford Green and Birchwood Way, as well as along Birchwood Park Avenue, Holcroft Lane, Glazebrook Lane and Warrington Road.
