A judge warned a mum-of-three who blackmailed a man for £3,000 she should expect jail.
Lisa Glenwright, 33, of Ogilvie Square, Calne, had been due to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court yesterday after admitting making the demand in November 2018. She faces the charge alongside her partner, Jeremy Reeve, 40, of the same address.
But the judge was forced to adjourn the case after hearing Reeve had been advised by his doctor to self-isolate until at least the end of the month.
Re-listing the case for Friday, July 17, Judge Jason Taylor QC said: “I want to make it very plan that even though I’m adjourning this today, both defendants – Miss Glenwright, who can hear me, and also Mr Reeve – need to understand how seriously the court views this and custody seems to me a very likely disposal.”
Reeve was represented by Alejandra Tascon, Glenwright by Matthew Harbinson.
