FIRST Malmesbury Cubs are ensuring scouting continues during lockdown, by going ‘virtual’.
Badges have been made available on line, so they can still be earned and weekly Zoom meetings are run by Akela, Gynnette Ranger-Walsh .
To replace the Pack holiday, the cub pack had a half term full of challenges – everything from lining up two meters of Lego, books or even toilet roll, creating rainbows out of items from around the house.
They have even done an ice-bucket challenge to pass on the message that “Its ok to not be ok” and to ask for help.
The Cubs also completed challenges including showing makes themselves happy and doing something for others in their home from making meals, changing light bulbs, helping siblings, to cutting the grass.
