MALMESBURY Tennis Club is offering free tennis to the local community.
Following the further easing of lockdown restrictions in England, all tennis courts are now able to open to allow doubles play, with members from different households..
The offer is on until at least the beginning of August. “It’s so important that we offer our facility to the community now." said tennis club chairwoman Jo Kitching.
"We are lucky that tennis is one of the first sports to come back, and it’s something all the family can do together, no matter what their standard. It’s a great way to be outside, getting fit and having fun.”
Anyone can join the club via the website and book one of the courts, but the club is stressing that the importance of keeping your distance is still paramount, as is washing your hands and using hand sanitizer. The clubhouse will remain closed. Visit clubspark.lta.org.uk/MalmesburyLawnTennisClub and search Malmesbury Community Membership.
