AS we look forward to the Wiltshire Business Awards 2020, we are remembering all of last year’s deserving winners and finding out what they think about entering.

Over the last few months, the Adver has profiled the winner of each category, so here is a final round-up of their thoughts on what the honour meant to them - and what it could bring to your business.

James Napp, managing director of Outstanding Excellence winners Bechtle Direct, said: “I’m genuinely overwhelmed, it’s a real honour for the team to be recognised for all the work they do and it was magical to have them all up there, we love coming into work every day.”

Anthony Miles of Micro Business of the Year winners Miles Window Systems said: “”We’ve been part of these awards for the last four years and we gave it a try in 2019 because of the new category and it paid off, we’re very proud.”

Hayley Miles added: “It was a massive surprise and a great honour.”

Small Business Owner of the Year winner Emerald Crawford said: “”This is overwhelming and amazing, I could not have done this without my team, the girls are incredible and supportive, they ground me and keep me going, they are everything to me. This was a childhood dream which I made reality with a lot of hard work and determination.”

Howard Goff of NCAB Group celebrated winning in the large business owner category. He said: "Until this award, I was always the bridesmaid but never the bride. I'm a very lucky man, I work in a very talented group of people.

"The proudest thing for me is when I look at my team I see a mix of people, some almost as old as me and some are younger than my children."

Entries are now open for this year’s awards, which will be presented in a glitzy ceremony in November.

Adver editor Pete Gavan said: “We know it’s a difficult time for businesses across Wiltshire but this is our chance to celebrate all the good things that are happening in the county.

“So please take a look at the categories and get entering – it could be your year!”
