THE drive-through at Cirencester McDonald's reopened this morning at 10am.
Big queues at the fast food restaurant were reported for the opening, however McDonald’s is now using the Beefeater car park as a queuing system.
The site is offering a limited menu and contactless payment is being encouraged.
Staff will be temperature checked before each shift and the number of workers on each site will be reduced to ensure social distancing.
Perspex screens have been installed at the Drive-Thru windows and staff have been given protective equipment.
A spokesman for McDonald's said: "With restaurant teams adjusting to new procedures to enable safe working and social distancing, things may take a little longer – and high demand is anticipated.
"McDonald’s and its franchisees are working closely with local authorities and the police, and may determine that it is necessary to close Drive Thru lanes if queues cause disruption at busier sites or put employees or customers at risk."
