A NEW pandemic python is slithering its way around Warminster.

The town has enjoyed displaying rainbows and placing teddy bears in windows offering a colourful, fluffy wave to the children.

However, as time has passed a new community art project has arrived.

Warminster's Pandemic Python has slithered its way to The Chapel of St Lawrence in Market Place.

The community art project is designed to display unity and hope during the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis.

Organiser Amanda Williams said: "It's very simple, people are invited to decorate a stone or two, add it to the python and watch it grow as it trails all over the cobbles.

"The feoffees of the Chapel have very kindly supported the project and I sincerely hope everybody enjoys this new display of Warminster's amazing community spirit."

The Pandemic Python is now over 165 stones long, as of June 1, a real symbol of Warminster's continuing community spirit.
