Both of Swindon's MPs have praised teachers and the return to school.
The majority of primary schools reopened yesterday inviting at least one of the Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 groups.
South Swindon MP Robert Buckland praised the hard work being done to make the return happen.
He said: "Thanks are due to our teachers and teaching staff, who have been supporting the families of key workers for many weeks now.
"Yesterday, we saw the next step in allowing more children to access the education they need.
"A lot of hard work is going into this, and I support the decisions being made by local schools, each of which has a particular set of circumstances to deal with."
North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson added: "I extend my thanks to the school staff teams who have not only provided support for key worker children throughout but through extensive preparation are now extending support to wider groups of children.
"This is vital for working parents and making sure children don't miss out on vital education, crucial to their development."
