Residents are now able to view Melksham’s long-awaited Neighbourhood Plan and give their feedback.

Work on Melksham’s Neighbourhood Plan has continued throughout lockdown and the draft is now ready for consultation.

From today (June 1) until Monday, July 13, where public response will help to shape and update the important document before a local referendum.

Richard Wood, chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group said: “Whilst the current situation means that consultation by drop-in sessions and use of venues to display hard copies is not going to be possible at the moment, the draft plan will be widely available online and hard copies can be posted out to those who request them.

“Responses received will help shape the final version of the Plan, on which there will be a further consultation. Eventually, there will be a referendum on the Plan for residents.”

The draft plan can be viewed online at www.melkshamneighbourhoodplan.org

Any person or organisation may comment on the plan.
