POLICE arrested a motorist whose erratic driving was reported to them while on patrol yesterday.
Officers spotted the man while dealing with hundreds of cars heading towards beaches yesterday despite road closures being put in place.
A spokesman for Purbeck Police said: "In between general patrols, a call came in relating to a driver who appeared to be intoxicated and driving.
"The driver was located and arrested for various offences including possession of a lock knife and suspected drug driving. There is no excuse."
