A MAN from Salisbury has been charged with assault following an incident at a Melksham convenience store.
Jason Wynter, 49, was arrested on Friday (May 22) after a disturbance at the AVAD Convenience Store in Forest Road, Melksham.
Police were called out after reports of an intoxicated male smashing alcohol bottles in the store and causing damage to a nearby vehicle.
Mr Wynter was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault after allegedly kicking and spitting at officers. He has been remanded to appear at court.
