YOUNG footballers are keeping fit during the coronavirus emergency and helping the NHS by taking part in a Wembley challenge.

Children who are members of Bishops Cannings Youth Football Club are dribbling footballs in their garden in a bid to cover the 100 miles between their base at Green Lane playing fields, Devizes and Wembley stadium.

Club secretary Gary Wootton said: “We are encouraging children and parents to stay active in the month of May.

“The Ball2Wembley is open to everyone not just the children from our club. Each person that registers will be able to submit their metres they have dribbled a ball in the garden

“Our aim is to raise money to provide even better training equipment and playing kit for the children where sponsorship can no longer be achieved due to the current situation and NHS Charities.”
