A professional gang of thieves is believed to be behind a raid at Potterne Cricket Club.
Thousands of pounds worth of equipment including a ride on lawn mower were stolen form a lock-up at the club during the night on May 6. A metal cutting device was used and CCTV cameras at the club were covered up.
Police are appealing for witnesses and any CCTV or dashcam footage. It is believed the thieves arrived at the ground along a byway from either Green Lane, Devizes or Stert.
A police spokesman said: A ride-on Lawnmower and various other items, including a leaf blower, were stolen.
"The total value is quoted at being in the thousands of pounds and this is a huge blow to the club. CCTV at the site was interfered with, prior to the incident.
"The incident occurred at around 4am on 6th May; if anyone in the Stert, Green Lane or Potterne areas have CCTV or Dashcam footage from cars on their driveways, please get in touch."
