THE UK's largest contemporary rock choir is keeping Britain singing despite the coronavirus outbreak.

And Royal Wootton Bassett will be getting involved this weekend.

The Rock Choir has 32,000 members in 400 places across the country.

It wanted to keep everyone's spirits up despite the coronavirus pandemic, so they've put on a daily sing-a-long on Facebook.

Kate Benson who leads a number of Choirs in Royal Wootton Bassett and Covingham will be taking part this Saturday at 3pm.

Its founder and director, Caroline Redman Lusher, said: "We have 32,000 ‘Rockies’ in Rock Choir who, along with the rest of the general public, will each be facing uncertainty.

"Some will be scared, some lonely and others will be in isolation potentially for a long length of time.

"I implore everyone to join in and sing with us each day. We can then contribute to everyone’s daily routine and be a reliable and constant source of support for our Members and the UK community."

Rock Choir is also making a change in the way they teach as they will be putting up interactive online sessions for its members.
