"CHIPPENHAM is more famous for its Folk Festival and it’s thriving live music scene of Rock and Pop, than its growing popularity of American New Country, and Americana Music,"says musician, Reuben Roberts.

This month sees two Country music releases, from artists based in the Chippenham area.

Firstly; Stuart Rolfe, who has been making a living in the music industry, as a session and touring musician. He has worked with the likes of Tim McGraw and Mark Knopfler. He has just released his debut single, a cover of the Tim McGraw song “Real Good Man” with his band Stuart Rolfe and Daylight Stealers.

The second release is from The Atlantic Project. "This was primarily recorded at Utopia Studios in Chippenham," says Reuben Roberts, who performs with Richard Benham in The Sultans of Swingers band.

"The composition Living a Lie was written by myself and Richard and features Richard on guitars, and with the added Nashville sparkle of Seth Morgan on vocals, from the USA, as we wanted that authentic sound adding to the song.

"There is currently a boom in homegrown Country talent in the UK, with the emergence of digital downloads and multiple streaming platforms, it is now easier for Independent recording artists, to release music to the world, and to their potential fan base.

" If you like a little Country music, it’s not that far to go to find it. There are now, new UK based Country music radio stations, and music festivals appearing all the time."

Both releases can be found on Spotify, ITunes Amazon, YouTube, and most streaming and download sites.
