THE ROYAL United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a new governor.

Applications are now being sought for a North Wiltshire Public Governor to stand for election. The application deadline is 5pm on April 9 with voting set to begin on April 28.

Alison Ryan, Trust Chair, said: “This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved and make a contribution to the continuing development of the RUH. Governors play an important role in shaping the future of the Trust through representing the interests of their local community, ensuring that the needs and views of patients and members of the public are taken into account.”

Jacek Kownacki, a current North Wiltshire Governor, said: “This is hugely fulfilling for me as I have so many opportunities to interact with patients, staff, relatives, other Governors and the public, all of whom are committed to making our local hospital the best that it can be."

To stand for election you do need to be a member of the RUH and living within the North Wiltshire constituency.
