A café in Pewsey has become the hub for volunteers ready to do their bit to help others during the coronavirus emergency.

The Little Lunchbox has turned into a takeaway but is also now the headquarters of Pewsey Community Coronavirus Assistance.

Phil Brady the co-organiser of the group has been delighted with the response to the group which has the backing of the parish council, Wiltshire councillors, church and community leaders.

Local community activist Rachael Ross was among those who signed up on Saturday to help people self-isolating by taking out vital medicines and other supplies said: "Across Wiltshire communities have been ahead of the curve: Covid 19 voluntary groups are organising in every town and village."

In Rowde, near Devizes people are also coming together to help the most vulnerable. Anyone who wants to volunteer is being asked to fill in a form and send a photograph via Whats App to 07511748954.
