TOP athlete Jack Rutter visited Ramsbury Primary School to lead a sponsored fitness circuit.

Jack Rutter is a GB Paralympic Footballer who was captain of the GB cerebral palsy team. He was on track to become a professional footballer with Birmingham City, until he suffered brain damage.

On completion of their sponsored circuit, a member of the class carried the ‘olympic torch’ to the next class who came to join Jack and complete their circuit. Once everyone had finished their fitness circuit, all of the children joined Jack in the hall to listen to him talk about his sporting achievements and to ask him any questions.

Alexandra, Class 5, said: “Jack was really nice. The exercises he set were difficult, but they were fun."

Seth, Class 3, said: “The push ups were fun because Jack showed us how to do them in a different way to help us. The star jumps were funny because lots of people did them differently.”
