The congregation of St Peter's Church, Lordsmead, Chippenham, have funded half the cost for a new defibrillator, which they have taken delivery of for its community complex.
A grant awarded by the Chippenham Area Board ensured the full cost was met and South West Ambulance Service, SWAS, who have hired out the defibrillator on a three year scheme, will also supply training and support for users of this life saving equipment.
The equipment, which was handed over by Assistant Community Responder, Sharon Kirwan, of SWAS, is going to be housed in the entrance to the community hall and is on hand, not just for site users but also the wider community of the area.
