THE family of a man who died in a collision near Marlborough over the weekend have paid tribute to him.

Colin Edwards, 73, from Marlborough, died when the Suzuki vehicle he was driving collided with an HGV on the A346 at Port Hill on Sunday morning.

He leaves behind a wife, son and daughter, who have released the following tribute:

"Colin was an incredible and dedicated husband, father and grandfather, celebrating 50 years of marriage last year.

"This has been a total shock to all who knew him and our family will not be the same without him."

The family also said they would like to express their gratitude to all the emergency services involved and particularly to the members of the public who were involved at the scene of the collision.

Police said their investigation into the collision is continuing. It took place at around 10.30am on Sunday morning between Marlborough Golf Club and Rockley Road.
