A MAN has suffered serious injuries following a collision on the M5 last night.
Shortly before 9.15pm, a trailer carrying a classic car between J14 Thornbury and J13 Stroud came loose and collided with other vehicles on the outside lane of the motorway.
Officers attended and found that a number of cars had been involved in the collision.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "A man in his thirties, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol with suspected chest and pelvic injuries.
"His condition was not thought to be life threatening.
"The road was closed until about 3.15am this morning to allow the scene to be investigated and the vehicles and debris to be removed."
