A WILDLIFE rescue team is asking people for their help to raise funds.

After Oak & Furrows at Malmesbury Road in Cricklade saved 1,037 hedgehogs in 2019, it is now looking for help to save more this year.

To mark the milestone of saving so many hogs it has launched a Just Giving page with a target of £1,037.

A spokesman for the rescue centre said: “In 2019 we helped 1,037 hedgehogs, the most we have ever had through our doors.

“We are trying to raise £1,037 to help more of our prickly, furry and feathery friends, this amount will give us a good boost towards the work at the centre.”

This is much more than the number of hogs they saved in 2018 which was 898.
