A serial shoplifter who targeted TK Maxx stores across Wiltshire in a 12 hour spree has been jailed.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates' Court, Nicu Cirtita, 45, of Fleet, Hampshire, admitted stealing clothing worth £250 from the Swindon branch, a Diesel watch worth £150 from the Chippenham branch, where he also damaged a watch cabinet, before stealing clothing worth £566.83 from the Bath store. All the offences were committed on January 21 this year.
The offences were committed with another person, who did not appear to have been charged by police.
The Romanian national was jailed for five weeks, with magistrates citing the high value of the items taken and the fact it was pre-planned.
