DEVIZES: Terry Newman, 49 has been remanded on conditional bail and ordered to stay away from the the Devizes home of a woman who he denies assaulting. She will give evidence by video link in the court hearing set for May 28 at Swindon Magistrates' Court.

DEVIZES: Ayleasha Bennett, 33, of Long Street, Devizes, has been remanded in custody for driving while under the influence of cocaine on the A350 in Chippenham. She will appear before Peterborough magistrates on February 13.

CALNE: 29-year-old Adam Thomas Stanley, of Ogilvie Square in Calne, has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman, but has been remanded in custody by magistrates who heard he is likely to interfere with witnesses. The case is scheduled for February 28 at Swindon Magistrates' Court. He is also accused of damaging Xbox controllers and birth certificates and stealing a bike.

DEVIZES: Dwayne Jones, 23, of Kingsley Gardens in Devizes has been jailed for four weeks after he pleaded guilty to beating up a woman, damaging a phone, a picture and a wall at Drinkwater Court in Trowbridge. He was ordered to stay away from the woman until 2021.

TROWBRIDGE: Adelina Petronela Amariute of Union Street, Trowbridge has been fined £200 for not having a valid train ticket. She was ordered to pay costs of £140.

WESTBURY: 22-year-old Sam Bryers of Station Road in Westbury was also fined £220 plus £140 costs for not having a valid ticket at Trowbridge railway station as did Yasmin Gray, 19, of Newtown, Trowbridge, and Natasha Johnson, 28, of Sparrow Street, Trowbridge, who were found to have an invalid tickets.

MELKSHAM: A community order to do 200 hours of unpaid work has been handed to Ian Gadd, of Semington Road in Melksham. The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing £287 worth of alcoholic drinks belonging to Tesco Extra and £180 worth of drink from Sainsbury's in Trowbridge. He admitted stealing a tracksuit from JD Sports in Trowbridge. He was given more time to pay previous fines totalling £6,556.

TROWBRIDGE: An arrest warrant has been issued for Pauline Fortune of Bramley Lane, Trowbridge. The 49-year-old has been found guilty of stealing £6,865 belonging to McColl's in Castle Place. She had denied the charge.

CHIPPENHAM: Two teenage boys – aged 14 and 15 – have been sent for trial accused of setting fire to the Ivy Lane Primary School in Chippenham.

The youngsters, who can't be named for legal reasons, will stand trial at Swindon Crown Court for intending to destroy or damage the property and intending damage to endanger the life of school children.

They denies the charge and are also accused of stealing lighter fluid and razor blades from Wilko in Chippenham.

CALNE: A Calne woman has been ordered to pay £135 compensation and £100 costs after failing to hand back library books. Danielle Chapman of Landsdowne Close borrowed Animal Farm by George Orwell, three books by Diana Palmer, Claudia Gold’s Queen, Empress, Concubine and a handful of GCSE study books. She has to pay the fine by March.

MARLBOROUGH: 45-year-old Daniel Cavender, of Purlyn Acre in Marlborough, has been ordered to get help for alcohol addiction after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman. He has to spend six months on the programme, and was also ordered to pay costs of £300, fined £80 and to pay a victim services surcharge of £85.

CHIPPENHAM: 21-year-old Lewis McIver, of Patterdown, Chippenham, has been committed to Swindon Crown Court for sentence after admitting intending to supply cannabis and cocaine.

CALNE: Raymond Webster, 25, from The Pippin in Calne, has been fined £185 after pleading guilty to damaging a letterbox belonging to Greensquare Housing Group.

CALNE: Lee Epplestone, 32, of Kingfisher Court in Calne, has been fined £629 and banned from driving for 19 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving in The Pippin.

CHIPPENHAM: Sebastian Cater, 24, of Folkstone Close in Chippenham, has been told to do 250 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to assaulting and causing actual bodily harm on a man. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £1,000.
