Manchester City's Premier League match against West Ham on Sunday has been called off because of Storm Ciara.

A statement from City read: Due to extreme and escalating weather conditions and in the interests of supporter and staff safety, today’s Premier League match against West Ham has been postponed.

It is one of many sporting events to be cancelled due to the weather with Scotland's women rugby also cancelling their match against England in the Six Nations.

The Herald:

Scottish Rugby said efforts would be made to play the Women's Six Nations fixture on another date. "Safety of travelling fans, players and venue staff was the priority. Discussions are under way around rescheduling the game," they said in a statement.
