A PRESTIGIOUS choir is in need of a small group of youngsters to help it continue hitting the high notes.

The choir of St John’s Church, Devizes has sung live on BBC Radio 4 and also performed at St Paul’s Cathedral. It also did a tour of Latvia in 2018.

Director of Music, Chris Totney, said: “Over the past few years, we’ve seen a steady stream of new members join us.

“Now that they’ve all gained a bit more experience, we have space for three or four new boys and girls who are ideally in or around Year 4 or 5 at school.

“You make friends for life and the way our choir works means you’re performing great music on a week by week basis and singing in some of the country’s most iconic buildings - and best of all, it’s free to join.

“The 23 children in the choir at present represent ten local schools. In order to encourage regular attendance they also receive pocket money. “

He said the choir also helps leadership skills. Email christotney@gmail.com
