A Devizes woman has avoided being sent to jail after admitting assaulting two police officers and two other people
Rachel Ellis, 30, of Moyne Close was given a suspended prison sentence by Salisbury magistrates after pleading guilty to the attacks.
The court heard that the unprovoked attacks happened in front of children on December 23 in Devizes. Ellis pleaded guilty to attacking a male police officer and was given a four-week prison sentence suspended for four months.
She was ordered to pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £122 and £85 costs. She also pleaded guilty to assaulting a police woman and two members of the public and was given three further suspended prison sentences of four weeks.
She also pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth £12.80 from Sainsbury's and was ordered to pay compensation of £12.80.
