DORSET & Wiltshire Fire Rescue is urging people to be prepared for flooding.
Heavy rain is forecast across the country including Swindon at the beginning of this week.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Monday and Tuesday will see blustery locally heavy showers and a chance of snow over higher ground.”
DW Fire claimed that 5.2 million properties across England are at risk of flooding.
It released a video suggesting people to prepare by packing a bag of medication and insurance documents.
To move possessions upstairs so they are less likely to be damaged.
And to turn of gas, water and electricity at the mains.
If in immediate danger DW Fire has advised to call 999.
The service releases three level warnings, flood alert means to prepare.
Flood warning means to act and severe flood warning means to be ready to take action to survive.
