TWO Devizes police officers had their eyes peeled when then were on patrol in Devizes Market Place.

The pair of community support officers spotted a car that had been reported stolen left among other parked vehicles in the Market Place and had soon arranged for it to be put on the back of a pick-up truck.

A police spokesman said: "PCSO's Mills and Braithwaite located a stolen vehicle in Devizes this afternoon. Vehicle recovered and will be returned to its rightful owner."

A number of people took to Facebook to praise the good work of the officers.
