THE death knell has been sounded for Topshop in Swindon following an announcement last year that the Salisbury branch was to close.

Now what would have been Wiltshire's last surviving Topshop and Topman are to shut on March 28.

It is thought around 13 jobs could be lost as a result of the closure.

A spokesman for the Arcadia Group said: "The Topshop Topman Swindon store will cease trading on 28th March 2020 and we have endeavoured to offer current staff other employment options within the Arcadia Group.

"Our customers can still visit the nearby Outfit Swindon, Topshop Topman Oxford or shop online."

Sir Philip Green’s retail group has closed a number of Topshop and Topman stores since the turn of the year.

Miss Selfridge, Wallis and Evans – all part of the same empire – left Swindon last June.
