A WOMAN who attacked two emergency responders and damaged an ambulance has been ordered to pay out for the trouble caused.
Sophie Harkness, of Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, assaulted a police officer and a paramedic during an incident in Southbourne Road on October 24 last year.
The 25-year-old appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court last week to admit two charges of assaulting the emergency workers by beating them and one of criminal damage.
She was ordered to pay £391.41 in compensation for the damage caused to the ambulance.
She was also told to pay £300 compensation to PC Rawlings and paramedic Joseph Ford.
A criminal surcharge was not imposed as the compensation ‘acted as a penalty in its own right,’ the court heard. An order for costs was also not made.
