A DEVIZES recruitment firm has raised more than £5,000 to help young epilepsy sufferers after a year of challenges.
NextGen Recuits, on the Hopton Industrial Estate, held a cake sale for International Epilepsy Day back in March when they sold goodies supplied by Bakkavor to firms on the estate and raised £529.43.
In April managing director Alex Morgan and his wife Karen completed the London Marathon and raised £2,000
In June a team climbed England’s four highest mountains and in August a five-a-side football tournament was held followed by a golf day in September.
All the £5,382 raised will go to Young Epilepsy which helps children of all ages to cope with the life changing effects of Epilepsy and carries out research into the condition.
The money will help pay for instruments and equipment for a sensory centre at the charity’s school in Lingfield. Mr Morgan said: “Thanks go to all those who made this sum possible.”
